Why choose Aware Super

Aware Super is one of Australia’s largest and top-performing[P1] profit-for-members super funds. With more than A$190 billion[M1] in funds under management, our focus is to achieve the strongest possible risk-adjusted returns for our 1.1+ million members.[M4]

Active investment management

As a leading global pension fund and asset owner, we typically take an active management approach across alternative assets, including infrastructure, property and private equity, plus allocations to liquid markets.

Global headquarters

We’re based in Australia, with key offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. In 2023, we opened our first international office in London, UK.

Our journey

Today, we’re one of Australia’s largest profit-for-member superannuation funds.

We have a 30+ year history dating back to 1992, helping New South Wales public sector employees and their families with their superannuation and retirement needs.

In 2006, we opened our doors to all Australians, providing low-maintenance super with competitive fees.

In 2011, we merged with Health Super to create one of Australia’s largest super funds. We currently manage $190 billion[M1] for our 1.1 million members[M4].

Our size allows us to offer security and benefits through competitive fees, value-for-money insurance rates, and financial advice – all to fit with our philosophy of putting members first.
